GX-3R and GX-3R Pro CSA Approval Pending through January 2024

The GX-3R and GX-3R Pro CSA certification is now in a pending status. Due to this pending status, RKI will not be able to ship instruments with the CSA & ATEX labels for several months. During this time RKI can ship GX-3R and GX-3R Pro units with the TIIS intrinsically safe labels. Both the CSA and TIIS labeled products are certified as intrinsically safe explosion proof instruments suitable for Class 1, Division 1 environments. The only difference between the CSA and TIIS instruments is the certification label.

The pending status of our CSA certification is not connected in any way to product integrity or design deficiencies. Both the GX-3R and the GX-3R Pro have successfully completed all necessary testing and evaluations to be certified as intrinsically safe. No other testing or evaluations are needed for either product. There are also no quality issues with either product. RKI continues to have a low warranty return rate for both models.

Currently, RKI has stock and is shipping GX-3R’s and GX-3R Pro’s with TIIS labels.
