BW Technologies by Honeywell GasAlertMicro 5 PID will no longer be available for sale

Effective immediately the GasAlertMicro 5 PID will no longer be available for sale. This affects both the pumped and diffusion versions of the GasAlertMicro 5 as well as the spare PID sensor and 10.6 eV PID lamp. The GasAlertMicro 5 PID has been a significant product in the portable safety gas detection market place for the past 15 years, but, due to aging components, and the challenges posed on sourcing and supporting these components, it is no longer possible to continue manufacturing the PID sensor.

The following components will no longer be available effective immediately:

* Any Part Numbers that start with M5PID – *and end in* - 00

* SR-Q07 – Replacement volatile organic compounds (VOC) PID sensor, 10.6eV

* RL-PID10.6 – Replacement PID lamp, (10.6 eV) for PID sensor (SR-Q07)

The following components will remain available for 2 years, or as long as supplies last:

* M5PID-ES-1 – Replacement electrode stacks for PID sensor (SR-Q07) (kit of 2)

* MRPID-CLN-K1 – Cleaning Kit for PID sensor (includes Finger Cots, Q-Tips, Dry Optical Wipes, Alcohol Prep Wipes)

* M5PID-SPCB3 – Replacement sensor PCB GasAlertMicro 5 PID

For an alternate consideration, we have recently released the Honeywell BW™ Ultra which will continue the GasAlertMicro 5 legacy and offers new features, including:

* IntelliFlash: “Compliance at a Glance”, this important safety feature enables visual confirmation a detector meets compliance requirements.
