 X-plore 8000 Powered Air Purifying Respirator (PAPR) Hood

The Draeger X-plore 8000 series of short and long hoods is extremely lightweight, so they are ideal for long periods of use without sacrificing comfort or safety. Designed for applications that do not require additional mechanical head and eye protection, they are available in both standard and premium models.

• Draeger X-plore 8000 Standard Hood
• The Draeger X-plore 8000 standard hoods are made from a lightweight and cost-effective material and are intended for limited use applications. 
• The short version of the hood covers the head and face but leaves the ears uncovered for good communication.
• The long version of the hood provides full protection for the head, including the face and neck area. The dual-layer neck guard provides additional safety when combined with a protective suit.

• Draeger X-plore 8000 Premium Hood
• The Draeger X-plore 8000 premium hoods are made from a reusable, oil and water-repellent material. They provide a high level of chemical protection and a virtually unrestricted field of view. 
• The short version of the hood covers the head and face but leaves the ears uncovered for good communication. 
• The long version of the hood provides full protection for the head including the face and neck area. The dual-layer neck guard provides additional safety when combined with a protective suit. 
• Both versions can be cleaned and disinfected.

The Dräger X-plore® 8000 features heavy-duty design with rubber protectors and high ingress protection (IP 65) against dust and water from any direction. The latest Li-ion battery technology provides power for up to 20 hours of use, on a single charge. Protected air intake openings ensure that sparks or water coming from the front will not be sucked into the filter. In work areas requiring explosion protection, the Dräger X-plore 8700 model provides optimal support.
