The Benefits of Wireless Gas Monitors

9th Aug 2023

We live in a connected world. For better or worse, we have instant access to news, weather, and a whole host of other information. Then, why shouldn't you have also immediate access to the reading and location of your life-saving equipment?

Draeger has just introduced the X-am 2800 multi-gas detector with built-in wireless technology that incorporates Bluetooth technology with immediate access to the worker’s location, live readings, calibration information, and more. The Drager X-am 2800 gas monitor is connected to a phone via Bluetooth.

.

Drager offers a Gas Detection Connect (GDC) app that is available at the App Store of your phone. The live readings of the gas monitor are displayed through this app.

Networking capability provides safety and efficiency: Transfer your recorded data directly and conveniently via Bluetooth to a smartphone and the Gas Detection Connect software. As an alternative, you can also transfer the data directly to the Cloud with the X-dock test station, providing secure access to your data and its analysis any time and anywhere with access to the internet.

These systems are remotely installed without the use of wires, which saves time and money with lower maintenance costs than wired gas detection systems.

How can TG Technical Services help?

The Drager X-am 2800, with Bluetooth technology, is a perfect solution for personal air monitoring in work environments with limited air quality. This instrument detects flammable gases and vapors as well as O2, CO, NO2, SO2 and H2S. The Draeger Gas Detection Connect software and a smartphone allow for live monitoring of air quality data.

With 2 power supply option available (alkaline or rechargeable battery), TG Technical Services offers maintenance programs for these instruments, both in-house and onsite. Other products for the X-am 2800 such as remote sampling pumps, sampling hoses, and replacement sensors are also available.
