Quality Notice for Draeger X-am 2800/5800

If you are a customer and/or user of the X-am 2800/5800 instrument, be advised the an issue was detected which affects the Bluetooth connectivity with the Draeger ConHub Gateway.

Please read the notice below from Draeger. 

ISSUE

During the production process, an error occurred which affects the Bluetooth® connectivity with the Dräger ConHub Gateway. Specifically, the Bluetooth® module does not carry the required key for secure connection, resulting in an incompatibility with the Dräger ConHub.

Please note: This error does not affect the safety, functionality, or core performance of your device. All essential features remain fully operational, and the device meets all relevant standards and requirements. The issue concerns only the live transfer of measurement data and alarms to the software Gas Detection Connect via Dräger ConHub by affecting the ability of the X-am instrument to establish a connection with a Dräger ConHub. Connectivity to Gas Detection Connect by means of a smartphone is not affected.

REQUIRED ACTION

If you do not intend to use the Live Monitoring solution with the Dräger ConHub, no action is required. Your device operates entirely as intended and provides the full scope of its gas detection, measurement and alarm functions without any limitation.

Should you be interested in the Live Monitoring solution with the Dräger ConHub and be considering the acquisition of a Dräger ConHub Gateway (in the future when released in the US market), we kindly ask you to contact your local Draeger Sales representative. Draeger will arrange a free exchange and service upgrade of the affected PCB of your X-am instrument in order to restore full connectivity and ensure
seamless integration with Gas Detection Connect using the Dräger ConHub.
